Northern CA tuner/mechanic zx12 specialist

Hi all,

I have numerous little niggly (is that a word?) problems that keep popping up. Mostly clutch & tranny related. I can still ride the bike, but need to check over the tranny/clutch, & get some help w/the valve adjustment. Reasoning: I'm a total klutz & don't want to screw up things...

I'm looking for someone in Northern CA (San Francisco Bay Area) that could help. I am willing to pay a good shop (that warranties work) to do this. I just don't know of any here, & the few I called wanted big bux because "the ZX12R is hard to work on." From experience w/2 shops here, I don't trust most of them because of 2 previous screw-up's. One shop even did burnouts on a fresh rear tire, & left me to discover it (lines ground into tire from burnouts. Mechanics shouldn't do burnouts on new rubber. Duh!)

I typically do all my own work, but this clutch/tranny problem has me baffled.

Thanks,

Dave

BTW< U Know I bought a ZRX1100 and am Having fun on it! For Clutch problems the 12 is not hard to work on, but for Trans it is the Same because the engine has to come out and the 12's engine comes out easier than most.

Please describe in detail what the clutch is doing then the Trans because the Clutch can cause problems when Shifting and finding Neutral and make you "Think" the Trans has a problem.

I have mine at work today in a box to get the OD Gears matched to the rest of the trans or vice versa! The 12 had a very heavy duty trans and it weighs a ton. I have seen cars with smaller gears and lighter weight parts. It is well made. The CLutch is another story! Lets hear yours!

They did a burnout with a new fucking tire? What could possably be the reason to justify that?

They would be putting on another fuckin tire and taking somthing off the bill for inconvienience.

What's the problem Dave? Do you want to trailer it up here? If you'd consider that, PM me and I'll tell you what I have in mind.
