I finally got this link to open up. That is definitely my lope. After the holidays blow over I'm gonna try a bunch of the aforementioned things. Right now, I got the idle set @ 1250 and I'm dealing with a small lope. If I get it worked out cool. If not, I will at least have done all the mods I intend to do because it will be a long distance bike. Thank you all for your help. This will be my board for all my 12 questions.

There was some guys doing a mod with a pilot jet to smooth out the 2000-3000 flat spot. If I remember right it helped with the lope also. Just going on what I read though. I sold my 12 before I got to try it. My 4/2/1 "stepped" Tsukigi didn't really lope but it did have the flat spot. Sent ya a PM with the link.

The lope is caused by lower back pressure. You can verify this by taking a flat piece of something and covering about 25% of your tailpipe outlet. It smooths right out. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you the same map that I use in my bike. I suggest an idle speed of about 11-1200.

I got a map from Doug but it wouldn't open for me. Doug has a PC3r and I have a PC3. Not clear if this is the defining reason for me being able to not open it therefore I can't see what to change and what not to change. I intend to see if I can get it printed out so I can do the changes myself. We'll see what happens.

Different Computers have different problems try going to Dnyajet and getting the down load for the PC3r and then see if you can open the map?

One thing to be safe and copy your current custom map first.i have seen many people loose maps when trying to change things. The program has to be understood on how you save maps and so on. dynojet didnt make the uplaoding, downloading, saving map and changing maps on the early pc3 software as simple as the new stuff.

Did I not read somewere that the idle hunt was from the air traveling into the airbox wrong, and that a set of new stacks would solve the problem? correct me if I'm wrong Doug or Vincent.

Wrong. It's simply a matter of exhaust flow and the open loop digital ECU being unable to find exactly the correct A/F at that point. Timing is just as important as fuel in accomplishing this. It is SO not a big deal, but can be eliminated with careful mapping in that area.

I spoke to a good friend of mine today while out fiddling with the bike. She has a b1 nicely worked (187 rwhp, akro & other goodies) and she is very knowledgable about 12's and Kawi's altogether. She basically said it's not a big deal either. She also said it turns her on to hear the lope. You know how men act stupid over women? I might turn the idle back down to 1000 so it can lope like it's about to cut off, lol. No but seriously, If I don't get the lope undone from the new map I will live with the idle @ 1250. Like I said, the bike will be up and down I-95 for the most part. As long as my top end is as nice as it was the day I tested the muzzy install I will live.

Muzzy pipes are just plain unengineered garbage. There is no excuse to produce a pipe with such terrible drivability. I GUARANTEE NO ONE, NOT ROB MUZZY, NOT DOUG MYER, NOT ANYONE CAN MAKE THAT PIPE IDLE AND DRIVE RIGHT!!
And don't let them fool you with mumbo jumbo about giving it up down low to make peak power, it's complete horse shit. The peak power on the Muzzy pipes (all of them, for every model) sucks too.
