Repacked my muzzy Ti oval today

Not a lot of fun. Opened up the can, and there was a small clump of packing left at each end of the pipe. Opened up the kit, and the packing was lots of fiberglass. Kinda used to the stuff coming in a weave, which makes for much easier handling. So what I did was put the inlet back on the outer shell, put the new center in, and then packed around it. Used a broom handle to pack it down evenly around the pipe. Stuck the outlet end on, cinched down the bolts, and called it done. Took the whole pipe out to the shop and cleaned it up real good with Brasso. That takes a lot of discoloration off of the shiny bits (end caps) and also cleans off melted boot rubber, etc. It's back on the bike now, and I'll have to remember to think about repacking more often. Next time, I'm buying the Yosh packing material. Much easier to handle.

LARRRYEE!
You're supposed to leave it in the bag! The thin poly bag just melts away the first time you run it. Just flatten the "pillow", wrap around the perf tube and secure with maskingtape or rubber bands and stuff it in the tube.
Do I have to idiot proof EVERYTHING???

By the way, the production MMS harnesses are being built right now. We are waiting for one more plug from across the pond. I thinking you'll have yours in two weeks.
It will cost $199.95 and it is TOTALLY plug and play.

*laughs* Oh shit! No wonder! Hey, I looked on the website, but didn't see any instructions. I guess I'll order another one then... Guess I can screw something up just as good as the next guy.

Yeah ditto that. I am idiot and I needed instructions!! I just couldn't beleive the plastic was intended to go into!!

The best part of the repack kit was the fact that new bolts were included. Good job

Mea Culpa,
It just seemed obvious to me.......

Instructions will be written TODAY.

1. Do not remove material from poly bag.

But, just to be clear here, The re-pack kit is shipped with the packing material already wrapped and taped around the new perf tube. The implication, (I thought) is it is ready to install.
