WHAT are all you guys talking about regarding the titanium and corrosion?
Titanium is far more resistant to corrosion than stainless.
And, Navpreet, the stock header on a 12 is stainless steel. It does not corrode in the conventional sense, although it can change color and stain..
Sheesh.

I just sold a full RS-3 that was VERY corroded. Only sandblast/ sandpaper was taking that shit off. And where i did try to clean it, it was still well into the metal afterwards. I'm still amazed at how nasty it got, considering it was stainless???? Possibly lots of road salt, during winter rides??
My 'ol Akra, that I regrettfuly sold ( never thought I'd buy another 12..), was in nice shape after 4-5yrs and a few salty rides.

I think the issue with wrapping a TI pipe is the heat not corrosion. Titanium melts at a lower temp than a good stainless steel. Stainless has a lot of nickel and chromium that melt way above the meltimg point of TI. Plus from what I've seen the TI tube used in bike pipes is thin. Thinner than typical stainless tube used for bike pipes.
I'd be willing to bet if i unwrapped my pipe it would look like shit. But who cares. Its always going to be wrapped.
