To Psycho I have a question:'

'If the air speeds up going into the runners because of the larger opening then doesnt the PRESSURE in the runners increase because of the smaller runners? Instead of pressure being at the snorkel it seems to me the pressure would increase in the runners which is what you want.. Unless I'm missing something. But still no one has answered my question about high speed back to back runs with both snorkels. As well as back to back quarter miles with both snorkels. If you look at the KHI dyno chartt from "zx12r detuned at factory thread" you'll see the stock system tapering off at 9800 rpms on the dyno because of the engines increased demand for air.

If your ramming more air into a smaller space even if the pressure drops it doesnt necessarily mean that the PERFORMANCE will drop. Any one else have any thoughts.

From your quote psycho it seems that air being slowed down BEFORE it gets into the air box is what you want
instead of air being slowed down at the front of the snorkel.. hence more pressurized air as it comes into the airbox.

Doug Meyer said inlet air has nothing to do with ram air pressure...I got to find that quote..

Ok found the quote on page 2 of Hans Snorkel doesnt work. " no design of inlet pressure can increase or provide greater ram pressure at the inlet" I knew I saw that quote somewhere. Still strange after all these years no one except fearsome K has done before and after real world performance test with this product...

we'll put this issue to bed in March when i use the hans at the texas mile. My 1/4 data shows that the Hans seems to add just a bit of MAP pressure. In the very worst case it doesn't do any harm.

BUT, we'll all see in March

supra, pls check yr PM's I have a Q for you.
