'05 ZX 12 stock rev limit

What is the stock rev limit?
I have a customer with a '05 ZX 12 in his race car and is hitting a rev limiter at 10,500.
Thanks Peter D

Also, as of now, for some reason the 05s still are not responding to the deristriction that the other years are.

The 2000 12r's rev limiter kicks in at 11,625 rpm exactly.

The ZX-12r has a 186 mph top speed restriction that limits the bike in 6th gear before engine redline.

The speedo signal pulses off the teeth of a transmission gear. In 6th gear the bike is actually limiting the output shaft RPM. On a stock bike with stock tires and stock final gearing going 186mph the output shaft revs are 6520.

Running that through the 6th gear ratio of 1.03 and the primary ration of 1.60 works out to a Crank RPM of 10,744.

In other words the ECU will not let the engine exceed 10,744 in 6th gear

That is pretty close to your observed 10,500.

Thats on the dyno using a real tach.

The 2000's have no speed restriction in any gear so in all gears the engine revs to 11,625.

Correct Y2K, I observed a Tach that was 700-800 rpm optimistic on the dyno with my 2000.
