lock up clutch for the zx12
I have a zx12 that i drag race over here in Canada, and i keep destroying cluches. Was wondering if a lock up will cure the problem and if so what should i use a single or multistage and where is the best place to get one and how much trouble in setting them up? Thanks Jim Jones.

MTC and the difference on single or 2 stage is either you use the same weights on all the arms or Heavier on 3 of them!

I have a MTC multistage lockup and have only had to replace 2 steels in apprx. 100 runs. After I was taught how to set the clutch up, I now get 1.40-1.43 sixty fts. I weigh about 190.

I have ridden mine in the street but it is not my idea of what I would call a Street Bike! always doing clutchless shifts up and down and careful at the lights!

Lockups can be ridden on the street but it adds a bit of harshness to the drive line.
If you use heavy weights you could put yourself at risk if you need to pull the cluch at high rpm.
If you are going to do it use the minimum weight need to get the job done nd carry an extra puller shaft.
