Frame slidders on ZX-12R?

Has anyone had custom frame slidders installed? Looking at where the only obvious place to have frame slidders installed dosen't seem sturdy enough. Seems as if they are installed on the upper fairing position (attached to the engine) would damage the engine if bike is dropped hard.

Wild Hair Acc has what you seek and it's a bolt on item. Pricey at $185 but nice and functional.

I had mentioned Lucky's, but deleted it. He had to fab up some mounts to go with them. FIgured these would be less trouble.

I find those nice but I tink that they are 2 far back to be of any real protection.

get to your zx12 then see all the space in front that those sliders will miss.
and 185 USD

Luck sold his 12 and moved to another state a good while back. He still drops in from time to time.

Got the GSG motos on mine and wish I had them last year when I low sided. It whould have been much painless. They are the best design I found. Just freekin figures they are the most expensive. I had to crash to give in. They really are STURDY and do not get in my way.

Yes and no. Yes it damn near ripped the stater and cover off plus had no support what so ever when it went down. had it had the protectors it would have saved the stater and radiator and provided some protection for the side panels. We are pretty much screwed on any protection up top anywhere besides the bar ends. There is just nowhere to mount anything of any strength.

I just fitted mine with a stronger starter cover and ordered a CF clutch cover.

I just think that those would not do much in case of a fall.

Yeah I would like to have that site infor as well.
Marcos although the frame sliders may not provide the ultimate protection, I do think some protection is better than none. However I do agree with you on the part were they are very expensive, not to offer the ultimate protection. I guess until there is something that does offer the ultimate protection in case of a fall, the heavy duty covers along with the frame slider, plus the bar ends are our (zx-12r riders) only form of protection. The other frame slider LUCKY12 had for the upper portion for protection is also another consideration to have. Although maybe that one may cause more damage than the small protection it would offer if the fall was really hard, since those are connected to the engine.
I wish there were better options.

Ok, I'll try the website you provided.
Thanks
Blue

Those upper sliders look like a bad thing. I can see a nice case of "hole in the head syndrome" developing, especially with the polished aluminum ones.

Take a look at the bracket they'd bolt to. This is my bike, 75mph lowside...week and a half after paint
