Check out the new Laptop!
Very sweet, Toshiba Satellite, 512 MB of RAM, 40 Gig hard drive, Pentium 4 processor. All the goodies, can play DVD's and all sorts of fun stuff. Very cool.

I wish you guys would quit buying toys that I can't afford. I damn near bought a Compaq yesterday for passing the time at my boring job. Just couldn't pull the trigger. Need stuff for the 12 still.

Nice box, I'm typing on a Tecra 8200 right now, I like the CD/DVD/CDRW and the built in wireless, cool stuff.

No, it's true really.
The Yellow Box is done Rick. I set it at 14.5% to start and will go out and ride a 5 mile stretch and check the odometer against the markers to see how close it is. I don't need to be right on, just close. Then I'll velcro it in there.

Good deal on the yellow box man, I'm proud of you. I know you don't like doing anything electrical, so kudos to you. I'm glad I put one on my bike last year, it's a neat little device. Nice to have an accurate speedo on a bike, but then again I seldom have time to look at it.

Did you turn the key and the run switch on??? If so it will do the test where the tach and speedo sweep all the way through their range of motion. If it did this you're ok bro. Or did you even think about doing that????

No I didn't do that, my bike key was upstairs and I still had to repair an antique chair of my parents and it was already 10:30pm so I didn't even bother with it, I'll do it today though.

i was helping an aquintance set up the same laptop today. sure was nice & quick, and very nice screen. but way too big for me. i like me a tini tiny notebook, as in the 12" screen variety. had a vaio superslip (i think that's what they call the model here) in japan, and that was just about right. very compact. had all kinds of power management problems tho. kept shuttin off on me for no reason. ick. i think i'd get the sharp mebius (think i'm wrong on the model name) next time. holy SHIT is that fucker small! well, the librettos are smaller, but they'r jsut TOO small. about twice the size of a PDA.
