I have 11k on my 2003 zx12r and no problems yet, except when i was mounting my new front tire,it wouldnt bead up on the rim, i had enough lube, so i lowered a bead roller breaker on to the tire to add some more lube, but the button is really sensative, so when it came down, it dropped to far and pulled the rim off the seat with pressure and bent the rotor, (shit) the sad part is I have mounted a dozen tires and never had a problem till now.

18,000 miles, front rotors smoked after 12k. Put new on and went through the binders at the same time. New seals and dust rings ( $$$). Back rotor and pads are the stockers still.

You are fucking up Freek.
There is no reason why the 12 rotor's cannot run 100K miles properly maintained and not overheated.

27K miles on original rotors and calipers. Of that 27K, prolly 10K is hard riding down in the moutnains where breaks get a beating the way we ride, and then add 2 track days. Never an issue. A few sets of Pads but that's all. You've got issues Freek. I've just never heard of such a problem before and I don't think it's what Ollie is saying either.

almost 10k on the clock, 2000 model, stock rotors and maybe even pads. Bought it last year, put 6k on it, but I do top end stuff and roll-ons a bit...not much use for the brakes.
When I find I do need to use em I get on the brakes and then off....trying as much as possible to let them cool and not mash on em. I

Freek I had almost 20k on my ZX12 with no issues at all....taht bike spent lots of time at the gap and riding twisties, adn a few trackdays...my ZX10 has 13k on it with prolly 6k of tha ton a roadcourse, either doing trackdays or racing and I have never had an issue with rotors or calipers....just change my brake pads regularly, and clean the calipers very well when I do....sounds like something isnt straight in the front of your bike and its tweaking the rotors...maybe a wheel thats off just a bit, or a fork that is slightly tweaked...
