Dropping the front of the engine.......
I don't really want to drop the engine out all the way like before. Was wondering who has just tilted the engine front down and what procedure you used?
Besides the radiator, pipes, etc. did you just leave the throttle bodies attached to the engine and separate them from the stacks?
Thanks folks,
Dan

Can do,don't forget about pulling the chain while lowering the front.I left the t.b.'s on.I don't know what you're doing but I've even left the radiator on at times, unbolting the muffler mount.

Dan, I built a nice engine stand for the 10R motor when I had it out. If you decide to take it all the way out I'll make a new head for the stand that fits the 12 motor and you're more than welcome to it all for as long as you want it. I won't even begin to work on a motor without a stand anymore. Just let me know Sir and it's yours

Well for the inquiring minds.............I was actually too embarrased to tell why I needed to tilt the engine.
While in a mad rush to swap my plugs, I snapped #3 off and figured no way it would come out with such tight quarters to work in. Chad came over and used an easy out to get about 1/4" of the threads out and fit a tight rubber hose over it and backed it on out. Luckily I had applied some anti-sieze on the plug and it may have helped.
When it happened I just took a break and made my post, fully expecting to drop at least the front of the motor out.
Thanks for the replies and your offer Gunner.
Lesson learned: Take time.

I've NEVER broken a bolt, stripped a thread OR dropped something somewhere where it absolutely does not belong (and had to spend three hours and rewrite the laws of physics to correct). Never.
P.S. - The check is in the mail.
