why the fuck do i do these things?
here's a tip: when installing a new chain (especially when on a REAL tight schedule) check if u need to remove any links before installing the master link.
fucking ARG! took me over hald an hour to get that master link on, now i have to remove several links, get a new master link (can only get a clip style and wrong brand tomorrow) and do it all over again. i just slapped that puppy on thinking it would be specific to the 12R, and didnt notice the whole thing was sloppy. why the FUCK am i such a moron?
don't have a grinder, and the pins will NOT drill out. this sucks.
i know, useless post, but i had to vent.

I've got a 30k rpm pneumatic die grinder that would take care of those pins in about 2 seconds a piece.
Entropy is correct. Wrap both sides of the chain around the work with 3 wraps of duct tape. Shit happens.

borrowed a grinder. sure made the job easy. weird tho, i read 116 links for a stock chain, but i only had to take 2 out (3 including the master link) to get it to fit. any less and it would have been too short (with teh wheel adjsuted all the way forward). i'm pretty sure i had a 120 link chain i bought.
