you can only get a PC3 USB... the others are older models.
pc3 and pc3r were serial and had connection probs...
"r" model controls timing.

I'd get an "R" model if you can. They still make "R" models for some bikes, but not for many of the newer bikes.
But the R model does timing and fuel and is $325
The usb model needs a $350 timing module on top of the $275 PC. So it will cost you well over $600 for timing adjustments for a usb model if you want to do timing. And half the time the timing modules dont work properly. The maps dont download or it wont connect to it at all.
Way to go Dynojet. !!!
But the usb has higher resolution in its favor. So thats the ONLY advantage the usb has.

I'd recommend a 3r if you can get one. The only problem I've had w/mine is getting it to talk to my PC, and starting the bike and hitting the kill button solves this issue.

Interesting post, but couldn't get the Muzzy link to come up, and didn't see a Yosh box for a Kawi. Do they make one for a 12? I'll keep looking

Yeah, good luck with muzzys, my buddy just bought a new 14, bought a new muzzy pipe for it, from the dealer, and a pc from schnitz, muzzy wont give him a map, cause he did not buy it direct from them............, he spoke with Kurt .............
Brock would have sent the map in an email as soon as he saw a receipt showing his pipe was bought..............
Go with the PCIIIr, you can control timing and fuel. If it wont read the computer, check your ports, its easy, no probs with mine, and you can still get em. They are on the shelves in the warehouses. Go find a Parts Unlimited dealer, they had tons on the shelf this winter........

it works, trust me...............
otherwise brock would not have made the power he did on a stock motor 12 with the sidewinder i have...............
I can make my bike bog or hit hard with timing alone on the starting line, with the pc, so how did you do the timing?
all across the board, or just at 100 percent?

hmmmm...
i have done several dyno sessions testing specifically the impact of ign timing via a pc3r on hp, sometimes a differnt motor config, sometimes a different fuel. Took it as high as 7 degrees. Always showed cause-effect on changes greater than 2. Best hp 3-5.
hmmmmm...

Advance on my PCIIIr helped a little on my bike, but If I had to do it again and I was
going to realy race my bike more than street ride I would use the rotor action and a
USB, along with some of the plug and play goodies for that unit to let it spin up a little
higher.
If your bike is going to be mainly on the street I would not worry about it.
