Gilles Rearsets and GP Shift Pattern
Has anybody installed Gilles Rearsets on the 12 and set them up with a GP shift pattern?
I'm finally getting around to putting mine on the 12 and the instructions aren't obvious as to how to set them up. Do you just flip the attachment on the shift shaft of the bike 180 degrees?
The Gilles for the 12 are a little different than they are for the R1. The Gilles for the R1 actually have a "reverse" mechanism built into the rearsets that the 12 doesn't have.

well bob i already have installed...they were a direct bolt on....
or are you talking about a different way of installing them....i can help you with somepics...

Are you running a GP (Reverse) Shift pattern?
I.e: one up and five down vs. one down and five up?

nope not the GP shift pattern....though will try it tomorow....well let me see...
if you flip the clip on the bike's shift shaft...well voila...you can get the GP pattern...
under the normal shifting...when i shift up for a higher gear the shaft rotates in clockwise diriction...
i mean just a few degrees maybe....20 or 30degrees....
and when you flip the clip on the shaft upwards ......now to rotate the shaft clockwise you'll have to shift downwards.....
there it is....reverse shift pattern.....GP style....i'm gonna try it tomorrow...will take some time getting used to it....
i know you know all that i'm talking about....just thought of educating myself....i just discovered a new thing on my gilles....wow....
