Y2k cases: new part #
Update:
just got a call from Barb @ Ron Ayers.
The 2000 part number for cases (14001-1283) has been superceded, and now comes with a different oil level sight thing and 2 O rings.

rquinn is having trouble locating a set of "pre-owned" Y2000 cases, and 5-0 says they are rare.
Looks like we Y2K folks are headed for a problem.
Furthermore, Ron Ayers sent me an email saying the Y2K cases I ordered from them came in with a different part number than the Y2K cases I ordered; they will call me today.
hmmmmm.....
Anyone have any experience using cases from 2001 or 2002-2005 with Y2K internals????

I know the lower case half on the 01's and up is different than the 00. Part of it has to do with the oil level sight glass that was updated/upgraded on the 01's and up. Other than that I'm not aware of any other changes...
