The 1270 feels great. I can feel the difference in power. The front end lifts easily in 2nd....... and I am still breaking it in. I have not taken it past 9 grand. I only have about 350 miles on her so far. I have been out of town alot and busy with the whole weddin honeymoon thing. I plan on doing some riding on the 12 this weekend to get some miles on her. I cant wait to open her up... I used to have to take it up to 70 mph and let off and whack it to get the front end up in the air in 2nd gear. now you just let it rip anywhere in 2nd and it comes up easily. I want to break her in and then go for the tuning. kevin also wants to synch the throttle bodies and do some final checks to make sure everything is in order.

by the way has anyone heard from kev?? I will probably go up to g'ville wednesday so hopefully I will see him there..

I like it!! it is a totally different feeling. for a long trip, it will be great. I bought it because my wife didnt like riding on the back of the 12. However, she does like riding with me. soooo......

The vtx is very smooth. 117 ft lbs of torque. doesnt handle worth a shit but feels great on the highway. very comfortable, will definitely be great for those 200 mile road trips. I traded in my dual sport on it because I never rode it. I think it is the perfect other bike for a 12 owner. at the opposite end of the riding spectrum. going to put saddle bags , windsheild, and back rest on it to make it that much more comfortable. definitely am happy with me purchase.

Re: VTX

zx9r...I test rode one this past summer. It's a torquey sucker. Ideal for carrying a passenger. Vibrates a little, but I guess that's what the women like. Have fun! -ZXtra
