In the NY area?
who is a good go to guy if you want to dump the bike off and just have it tricked out,, ie. powder coating,, polishing,, annodizing,, paint,, might as well make it something that attracts me to it again,, tired or the generic 12 look,,, dont want to get crazy blinged,, but a tasteful,, sleeper done right,, and i really dont have the time to take this part here and that part there..,,i want to set up the thing mechanically also,, ie clutch,,exhaust,,didnt have a big problem with the carbon muzzy can although the pulsing was a lil bit of an annoying tidbit,,what pipe should i go with if money isnt a factor,, i know every one is gonna say akro,,i want a nasty sound that is rare,, not the run of the mill,, just like my D and D 6 into 1 collector that i had a guy in vegas build a short tight upswept megaphone,, and then added supertrapp discs and baffle,, the CBX sounded like a IRL car on Crack thats what im lookin for..

im going to be picking my bike up from maximum tomorrow- they are pricey and take their time but if youve got time and money to invest in cosmetics etc then id bring it to them- they seem to be capable of doing just about anything. however, if you wanted an engine built or are adding a turbo i wouldnt reccomend anyone besides orient express in freeport, which is closer to you... im sure youve heard of them before. joe hahn (the *best* engine builder around- for real) used to work at maximum before he moved over to orient to head their race team... really wish i had gotten my stroker earlier so that he had built it while he was still working at maximum...

maximum is worth checking out just to see their showroom and shop facility.... you should do what i did- strip everything you can and have it painted- have a shop with the ability to store your bike for several months take off all the parts you want chromed/powder coated and find a place online (http://www.chromeprosplating.com to do it- and send them out yourself to save some money. you can get your stuff powder coated or polished locally in new york if you want- but youre gonna have to send it out of state to get chromed. for a pipe, get what i got- the muzzys megaphone full exhaust- very happy with it, and priced the same as the other pipes- i replaced my muzzys carbon with it. get the muzzys clutch kit too (plates). this can all be done very easily and you can get deals on everything if you plan it all out and shop around.... send me a PM if you want anymore info on people in new york- ive done ridiculous research... well catch up and do some riding sometime- im always down to ride and definetly wanna make a few zx-12r friends... hopefully yours wont be in the shop this summer- plan on dropping it off in november so you dont miss any riding. ill PM you when my bike is road-worthy.... later man

Right On Bro,, they sound top notch,,definatley look into them once i know what im dealing with,,, gonna go inspect the bike tomorrow,, hope its not to severe,, just got it all together 1000 miles before the mishap,,i was running a carbon Muzzy,, but my brother said it was toast,, ive won a couple of items that i know were trashed on ebay already,, anyone have anything good to say about D and D pipes,, ive run them back in the day on my CBX,, this is a slip on and i know it wont produce power to talk about ,, im more concerned with the sound..but yes im hoping im not out for the summer,, we will see,, and yes Joe @ Orient was going to dial a map in for me,, there is about 3-4 week wait,, but that is on the back burner for know.. anyhow,, thanx for the input,, good luck with your ride hope (im sure you are )your happy with the bike when you pick it up tomorrow,,, Later Vic

damn bro, really sorry to hear to hear about your 12- i just read a few threads where you detailed the pain... sorry man.
d&d is crap - if youve currently got a fullexhaust and just your muzzys can is scraped- then get the muzzys megaphone conversion kit- thats what id do... and did. id be surprised if joe hahn actually had the time to do small stuff like that- id imagine hes busy as hell this time of year... muzzys has all kinds of maps for their products for free- just call up and theyll email you one, then hook your power commander up to a laptop and youre gold. the software is actually pretty cool if you have a computer in the garage like i do- its interesting watching the computer screen when your bike is running- live real-time changing variables etc............. impresses women............
do you have AOL instant messenger by any chance?

No i dont,, actually since the accident,, ive been letting moms take care of me,, 7 broken ribs isnt a cake walk when you get up in the years (42) almost tore off my big toe also,, luckily it was on the brake side if that makes sense,, im pretty savy with the computers,, and im sure i could do it,, but i figured for $350 having Orient dyno it and dial it in,, i know it would have been right..i know the carbon canister is toast,, but not sure about the rest,, i will know what is up with the bike tomorrow,, its sitting in my partners backyard,,ironically it happened a few feet from his house,, up in Yonkers,, im in Queens,,gotta pick up my car in YO also,, been there since the 17th hope its still there.. damn weather is getting nice too,,ive been outside a total of three times to get fresh air in my lungs,, it was punctured along with a small tear of my spleen,,ironic part is i have riding boots,,so my toe wouldve been saved,, and i do have leathers with armor,, that couldve been helpful,, but it was one of those days that was like 75 degrees and gorgeous,, luckily i did have my gloves,, always wear them,,gonna have to make some changes,,first is to dial the suspension so it doesnt bottom out,, still cant believe thats what happened,,talk about a hairy slickery ride...
