PCIIIr question?
For some reason I can't veiw any maps on my software. Does the bike have to be hooked up even for comparing maps off the internet?

Yes the bike trys to compare the map that is currently loaded on the PC to the one you want to look at.

Yes I understand to compare to the one in the bike but what if I just want to look at one I downloaded from the internet? Does the bike need to be hooked up?

Its my understanding you can only compare to the one on the bike so to answer your question yes you do.

I'm not comparing two maps at once!! Too restate my question, can you veiw maps without being hooked up to the bike? If yes, how?

Yes, start software and select FILE - LOAD MAP FILE (or hit LOAD FILE button), and select your map file.

Thats what I thought. For some reason I have no choices and it won't let me put files there. WTF???

Make sure you have the latest software

I rechecked mion elast night and you have to be hoked to the PC to get that option on mine.

You should not need to be connected to the Power Commander to view a map in the software...

Maybe when it's not hooked up you need a picture of the bike in the background to make it work !

You actually have to have some maps to view IN the powercommander folder. Do you? If you downloaded a map it could be in your attachments or on your desktop. Use windows explorer to find it and move it into your PC folder.

If your comparing maps, yes, you have to have the bike hooked up. Your comparing the map that's loaded into the bike with a map you select to compare. If you want to compare two other maps just print them.

I downloaded the newest software and it seems to be fine now. It was popping up some weird error messages like, you do not have permission to open this file,???? All seems well now! Thanks guys!!!
