My bike is eating powercommanders
Had a problem early this year where my bike wouldn't start; then when I finally coaxed it into starting I checked the map in the PC3R and it was corrupt (crazy numbers in fuel and timing tables). Remapped it and it started and ran fine. At that point I started the 1361 install.
Today the bike did the same thing only this time while at Lee's Performance. They couldn't even get the PC3R to connect this time so they called DynoJet support; no go. They swapped in a NEW PC3R and mapped it and the same process happened again- the ended up burning up the new PC3R.
What is going on? The bike starts and runs awesome without the PC3R connected! It made 211 hp with no powercommander whatsoever!
So they suggested just leaving it off and that it probably wouldn't picked more than 3 or 4 ponies even if it were working correctly.
Any thoughts?
Anyway- I'm picking up the bike tomorrow. I'll tell Lee to publish the dyno on his website. I'm happy with the numbers but pissed about this whole powercommander issue. It's not their fault it was doing it before.

Junk the POS and get a Yosh box if u want to remap it. But hell if its making 211 why bother.

your not alone in this one dude.Their only good for smoothing things out,no real h.p gains.Had the yosh box on my mind for a while now.

Now you know why I never bought one. Far too many people complaining of problems w/DJ. Bike seems to run just fine w/K&N & Akrapovic...plugs look maybe a little rich. So what- bike screams man!
Someday when I can afford it I will probably get either the Muzzy or Yosh EMS. They appear to be much higher quality units, & at least w/Muzzys we all know they have GREAT customer support.
I don't know much about the Yosh box, but they've been good in the past too for a long time now. DinoJoke? I hear nothing but bad reports about customer service, plus PC3R's destroying motors w/gas contamination, & them denying this occurs. Far too many failures man...
No thank you, not with my engine!
