hey all ill try and stay in touch

ive just been so busy, with work, family and trying to keep that fucking 12 fully maintained and its unhealthy appertite for rubber satisfied.

and i guess ill behave, in the zone that is (lol)

but if they push me over at la, i cant be held responsible for the trouble i may cause or not.
talk to yas soon.

as a result of your advice, im just about to throw a nice new set of 010s on the wild beast and see how they go.

has anyone tried the d208s yet have they made them in a 200 yet. ?
my tire dood said something about them not being rated for the 12 yet, i dont know i wasnt paying much attention, something about a fucking rating, the 12 and that other abortion which i will not name in this place of worship require tyres with this particular rating.

although im sure with the 100s of tyres redelks burned up he has tried a few that dont have the rating. lol

Mr. Packa...

THE ORIGINAL LA BUSAS BAD ASS MF'ER and first ZX-12R owner to get one of these...

This was and still is the most coveted LA Busas BAMF Card. Though Mr. Packa has lost quite a bit of the post accident weight (I think he shipped it all to me!), he still can whup any of the boys on any "non-12R" site. Verbally... of course!

Your humble moderator was the second...

I think the board went online around Jan. 12, 2000 and I was the 102nd member to join on Jan 20th.

Packa also has one of these...

Of course, so does Harry, so they can't be that great (in other words... Ghoti hasn't made me one... yet!)

Thank Duc

They are in the LA Busa gallery. You should copy your cards onto your computer. You know... just in case. Shit! I need to do the same! Here are the links to your two card. Just click on either one and the you can save the jpeg image.

As for the D208 tires, I haven't heard about anyone running them yet. As for me, I doubt if I'll ever put another Dunlop on my bike again! Between my 7R and my 12R, I'm sure that I've gone though over 70 Dunlops. I haven't tried the Bridgestone BT010 or the Metezler Renasport, but I'd like to someday.

It's just that I was so impressed with the Michelin Pilot Sports, it's just kinda hard to find a reason to switch to a different brand or go back to Dunlops. I'm currently running a 180/55 on back and a 120/65 up front. The Pilots last a hell of a lot longer then the Dunlops and there's no comparison when it comes to predictable grip (instead of Dunlop's "predictable SLIDE"!).

I hear that the Bridgestones also have far better grip then the Dunlops and last longer the either one. As for the Metezler, I'd imagine that it'd be one of the "grippiest" tires out there, but that also means that it has the shortest life. I couldn't afford to be buying new rear tires every 1200 miles. Right now, I get about 2300~2500 out of a rear Pilot. That's compared to the 1900 I used to get out of the Dunlop D207.

Also, I'd recommend that you forget buying 200/50 tires for the rear and switch to a 190/55 or a 180/55. There's three reasons why...

1. You bike will handle better, easier and quicker.
2. They last as long (if not longer) the the 200/50.
3. The best part is that they are CHEAPER!

Ok i will keep the pilot sports in mind

But i have my heart set on the 010's, sometime next month actually. (front and back)

I did try a 190 on the back and im not sure i liked it, in fact i didnt like it, i didnt like it turning in quicker, i feelo it turns in quick enough.

Perhaps it was because i didnt have a smaller front in unison to the rear, what do you think. ?

FYI if 208's are standard on 2002's then that answers my question, thankyou.

i like the idea of a 190 in back simply for the reason of price. well, that and losing the steel belt. all this talk about being less stable bothers me tho. in particular, i worry that it may make wheelies alot less stable. i'm hopin that people are just exageratin a bit on the darting nature of the smaller size...
