chain length guru's ?...

anyone with sprocket combo of 18 stock front, 49 rear. stock chain 116, add how many links to fit? i know -1 front is same as +3 in the rear, but i got a new vortex 49er to use. stock front is easier on the chain life aint it? need to order a chain, mines seen it's better days. ibroke my 136 linker(6-over arm) so went back to stock length. my 17 tooth front is worn, stockers lo-mile. i forgot how well this bike actually handles turns! kinda' like it... climbed on it 'purdy hard and did't seem that much less as far as acceleration goes with stock gearing. maybe i'm gettin' old eh? buy any 120 chain that is the usual.
and 49-46 = 3 , you need 2 links more aprox.
so a 118 will do.
