Top speed venues
Hi all,
new to the site. looks like an excellent community! keep up the good work.
i have a burning question...where can i take my zx12 (2002) for a top speed test run in england (preferably in the south of england).
And how long is the stretch at santa pod? only 400m or is there a longer stretch available for top end runs?
I've taken the zx up to around 165mph but I am concerned about being caught - you see, my job depends on me having a license so very important i don't get caught by the fuzz.
So if any of you can point me in the direction of a venue in the south of england where i can test the top end of the bike, that would be great.

Take the Eurotunnel and ride 100 miles to Germany - preferably on quiet saturday evening or sunday early morning :-) Well, I don't know England but Germany really isin't that far away...

Thems the flyers! They have it once a year at an airstrip very wide very smooth 1.5 mile run.
I'd have to say it is the best venue in the world for what you want to do and its in your backyard. I think it holds the record for the fastest ZX-12. You will get hooked. I do not think they have ran so far this year. Keep us up-to-date on your runs.
