Wheelie bars going on the silver bike. Wheelies are fun, but I'd rather go fast. Crowd sure loves those 1/8 mile long wheelies tho...Will post some pics, should have it done this weekend.

Are you running a slick too?

Hey, it looks stock! Absolutely stock! *winkwink* That 1347 is painted black, all the stock bodywork is in place. So it sits a little bit lower...And has a safety tether...It's still stock! ____________

Ah Swft, your going to put a bar on it?.If you need anything tell me,I have 2 friends in Alberta that run a strut and bar but they run a slick.I tried a bar with a street tire on my last 12 but it was in Edmonton and the track was incredibly bumpy.Almost dumped it with 200 kms on that bike. The street tire doesn't grow and suck up the bumps like a slick and sometimes the street tire will jump around looking for traction(not fun).I never tried with the shootout tire though.

Thanks for the info, Cowboy. Can I get a slick that will fit on the 6" rim? I was going to try a shootout tire to start with.

BTW, do you have access to the Bremerton Drag Strip schedule? Maybe you could come down and see about putting this pup in the mid to low nines. ____________

Swft,I have a used Slick you can have.M/T 27x7x17inch and it came off a stock 12 rim.Couple more sugestions for ya:GEARING,I think the guys were getting best results with 17/50 and a longer chain.Otherwise you will have to leave at about 10,000 rpm to get away from boggin and its pretty hard on clutches.I would LOVE to ride that silver bullet but i'm pretty busy at our track for the next 4 weekends. You should come up here if you can and we'll run a Friday night street legal and then put the slick and wheeliebar on for Sat/Sun. race.Theres another one April 19-21st.Let me know.Got 3 runs today in on mine bone stock except for a Yosh slip-on and lowered-10.19 140(spun bad in second). The other runs were pretty screwed up because the lowering links i made up were a bit lower than the Muzzys and i was scraping my undertail bad on the good launches, well good for me anyway(1.60-60foots my best today).1st race day of the year because of rain and snow and the track was GREEN.A fellow racer went down just pass the 1/8 mile marker and the bike still slide all the way to the finish line!I was told he has 5 broken ribs and a broken collar bone.I hope he's feeling better soon.

Hey thanks, Cowboy! I'll try and get up there to get the slick off ya. From the sound of it, I might just sell the shootout tire to a friend with a 1270 bike and run the slick. When would be a good time to come up and get it?

I'm about 12 miles from the strip. Bout 45 from the roadrace track. Give a choice, I wish that the reverse were true. ____________

Took the bike out on the street in front of the house. 150' burnouts in three gears. Can you say 'traction'??
