Motorcyclist "First Ride Review" on the '02 12R

First, I love how they start the article saying that the older 12s had "unbalanced handling","not so great ergos or fit and finish". I'll agree with them on the fit and finish but not the other things.

They seem to like the new 12R, said that frontend feel is better than before. But still said the bike feels tallish and less flickable than (you guessed it) the last 'busa they had rode. They also state that "Plenty of muscle is required to bend the 12R into a corner, and it's easy to run wide without constant bar pressure". Called it a kinder, gentler, better ZX-12R.

Man I hope this bike sells better than the older ones did. I'd like to be able to buy a NEW 12R when ol' red gets put out to pasture.

I wonder....

... what they said about the '00 or '01 models' handling versus the Busa? Is it just wishful thinking or am I correct in believing that they said the "old" 12R cornered better then the Busa?

Seemed to me that writer was someone who really didn't want to do that write-up. Gee, he had to fly all that way to an awesome EU track & all...poor baby (I'd take that job anyday thank you very much!) He just hated having to do that job...

Perhaps this person was thinking about all the (dare I say the word)..."kickbacks" from other bike makers.... He had to use another riders comments to get something nice to say for the final paragraph... I guess he was a loss for words huh? Musta been a Honda rider....

I haven't had the chance to see Cycle Worlds take on the new 12. I'm thinking that it must be "same old shit" eh? What's the fucking deal???? Are the determined to make Kawi cease production of the 12 or what. My '00 won't last forever, and a guy my size ain't gonna be happy on a Gixxer 1k, or an R1, and don't even say Hayabusa I felt cramped on it as well. Plus it's BUGLY, which is short for BUT UGLY.

......yeah, I just hope Kawasaki listens to the people who actually ride these things rather than some mofojournolist who does an 'evaluation' as if they are the ones who really matter...HEY KAWASAKI!!!!ITS US...WE'RE OVER HERE!!!...LISTEN TO US!!!...just how hard would it be to send out surveys to the ones who want this bike and the ones who live this bike and get meaningful feedback?
