In remission!
Last August I was diagnosed with Large B Cell Lymphoma when I had surgery to remove a lump under my arm. While they were at it, they also removed all my lymp nodes on my left arm and underarm. After 6 months of chemo, another 5 days in the hospital with an infection and a low white blood cell count, my doctor says I'm officially in remission, and have an 80-90% chance of being cured. Sure changed my perspective on life. EDIAG "Everyday is a Gift."

It's been 5 weeks since my last chemo, and I am feeling stronger. My hair is beginning to grow again, and I'm sleeping better. I'm walking/jogging 2 miles a day, and working out in the evening. My naturopath has me on supplements to help my body detox. Normally, I'm told it takes 6 months to a year to recover from the Chemo. I believe a healthy body stands a much better chance of fighting disease, and would definitely recommend working with a naturopath and/or a homeopath. My tumors were gone after my 3rd Chemo, and I guess I earned the right to say I believe God healed me. I know He gave me the strength to get through this nightmare. Thanks for your good thoughts and responses. Onward into life!

damn megabyte, didn't know you were going thru that. glad to here it went well tho. dealing with a long time family friend right now who is in the liekly final stages of non-remission so i have some idea of how horrible an ordeal the whole thing is. best wishes for a continued remission. glad to hear u'r supplementing (excuse the pun) the traditional treatment with supplements as well. there are some mighty interesting and convincing studies out there on many vitamins and other natural substances.

frEEK,
Thanks for your thoughts. Last August, we had difficulty deciding which way to go, natural method (A relative who is a naturepath believed he could heal me), the traditional medical approach (R/CHOP) or both. My oncologists told me not to take any supplements and to eat cookies and ice cream, no kidding. He said that vitamins also feed the tumors, etc. In the end, we decided to do a mix of both the natural and medical. No supplements for the first 7 days after chemo, but then I would go back on the following until my next chemo: Vibe, Colostrum, Cellular Zeolite, Cat's Claw, CoQ10, Barley Green. I also became a vegan, and began drinking 12 glasses of distilled water per day. I have a 90 page document on the causes and treatments of cancer if anyone is interested.

it always bothers me that most doctors are so dismissive of natural treatments. the line about feeling the tumors may be true to a point, but i'd say that's an oversimplification at best. SOME vits will no doubt help them grow, but from what i've read others have shown excellent potential at fighting them. i'm not about to dismiss traditional treatment like extreme naturopaths, and i defintiely don't beleive in healing via using crystlas to pull out the bad energy and other such nonsense (imho of course), but complete dismissal of supplements bugs me, and so many docs (liek in your case) go so far as to claim that such treatment, even when supplemental to traditional treatments, is not only ineffective but hardful. just plain irresponsible IMO.
regardless, whatever you did, glad it seems to have worked!
