If you have muzzy, THEN you need a PC3.....

If you change to Acro, Arata, etc, maybbe no.

IMO......
It's not worth the hassle unless you've completed the usual bolt-on mods and are looking for that last little edge.
Degreeing the cams will just move a few horsepower around depending on where the cams are set and it will only be a benefit on the type of riding you do. By living in Vegas you could degree the cams for top-end if that's what you like or if you take the bike to the twisties somewhere you may want more bottom end and set the cams as needed.
I've only did it with my engine sitting on the floor, it looks like some work with the engine in the frame but guys do it all the time. Mad Mike sells a kit that makes the process easier I've been told.
I would buy a Power Commander (Dyno Jet is located in an Industrial Park right off I-15 on the opposite side of the dragstrip) BMC or K&N air filters and have a map written by a good tuner.
I use a PC3 with a Muzzy advancer but alot of guys have had good servive with a PC3R, just talk with the Dyno Jet guys there.
