OT, AutoCAD question???
well just wanted to see if you guys knew a solution...
I have a bunch of drawing files "non-autocad" that I have saved as a DXF file, which in then load and save as a DWG file, my problem is if I do them 1 at a time works great!! but it will take me a year past next tuesday to transfer 2500+ Prints... i have tried to export each drawing file into a DXF file, which seemed to work, but after opening and transfering the first file, I get an error on every other file I try to open to transfer...
Thanks for any input...
MM

Mike, there may be an autolisp program someone has written to do this.
I'm using autocad 2000 still at work so I dont know what the newer versions are capable of doing now.
Look on the net and do a search for autocad lisp files. There are some really good ones people have written.

Hi MM
Usually if there is a large number of files to convert a batch file converter is used.
From the description the following may suit your needs:
http://3d2f.com/programs/27-598-autocad-converter-download.shtml
I got the above by typing: 'autocad batch file converter' on Yahoo. If it does not work for what you need try further searches. Usually these Acad routines work very well but I've not needed to do conversions on that scale for a while so can't really help much more.
BTW it's a shareware program

What program do the KCF files come from?
How old are they?

Jeez that's old for CAD software.
Upto about '97 I was using Cadvance but most everyone in the UK was doing Acad & I had to ditch Cadvance coz of all the hassles with converting to & from DWG & that was using their 'uptodate' converter. Autodesk never made things easy.
Does Keycad still exist?
