The dyno files are from brock , from brocks dyno.
The dyno that my 1375 was on is an "unhappy" dyno.
The older runs from my bike were from a dj150.
My 1375 is about 13 to 1 not 13.5 to 1.
As far as camshaft duration. The 12r has a large valve area for the displacement of the engine. And the swept volume increases and decreases slower at each end of the stroke than say a busa. So the dynomation pro software shows the engine to be more tolerable to increases of duration before reversion starts to show up. when playing "what if" it shows ideal opening and closing ramps not being the same for the zx12r engine.

congrats Y2K on your 1500th post.. Question does your software show that a stock displacement 12r can take more cam on the intake side? Without using too much below 5,000 rpms?

Ok here are a couple of 1375 motor dyno runs at Johnny Cheese's shop just to compare the torque numbers. John did NOT I repeat did NOT build or tune this bike! He was just nice enough to let us make a couple of pulls on the dyno to see where the bike was at. I built the motor put the supplied Muzzy map in it and ran it. 100% Stock head and cams. It was about 90+ degrees in his shop and the bike had a shootout tire on it. I've also been told his dyno is a little stingy. Karl or TRNorBRN could probably tell you better than me. I was only at his shop once.

Supra, yea but you will loose low end. You rarely get somthing for nothing. On the street you may not like it. Nothing like stroke on the street. If you were road racing and the engine never saw anything below 8000 rpms then cams on a stock motor might be nice.
Osti, do you have the run files from those pulls?

Jim,
Good news and bad news. Good news is I found the disc with the dyno pulls. Bad news is that it is a floppy disc and I don't have a computer that even takes floppy discs anymore. Neither of my laptops or my work PC.
I can mail you the disc if you have a computer that can accommodate a floppy disc.

Yea those 3.5s are a thing of the past.
Maybe the dyno operator can email them to you... I'm sure there still on his hard drive.
Its ok thou, no big deal if he doesnt have them.

Take it up to work and find a PC with 3.5. Then email it to yourself.

1375 vs zx14
Muzzy advertises 210 RWHP on their 1361/1375 kit, and my 1361 w/head work makes 212 rwhp and 124 ft/llbs of torque; I know Entropy makes even more w/his stroker. Reading these numbers on the 14 dynos, and hearing what others are getting on their 14's convinces me even more that the 14 isn't all it should have been.

Well dont worry, Suzuki will move the bar again soon i'll bet.
I wouldnt be suprised if they make somthing with 185 rwhp from the factory.

Mike Velasco built mine, swft's, and ZHooligan's 1361's. At the time, Mike was building race engines for Ducati. 've got over 20k miles on the bike; it's running stock cams, pciiir crankcase vent mod, superteked, balanced, head work by MVR, and ecu w/extended rpm. I'll have to ask mike or Swft about the exact Compression and timing ?. The bike has been rock solid, and has never let me down. My license plate Monogram "Resistance is Futile," has so far proven to be true, knock on wood....

I've done the taste of racing @ PIR a number of times, and several track days. No dragstrip runs yet.

the heat problem will be solve by a 60/40 mix coolant, do you think a oil cooler will help keep the tempeture down? and heat wrap on exhause it a must too? the 1375 work very well with stock came ?

You wont need an oil cooler. I never checked but i dont think the oil temps are abnormally high.
60/40 and water wetter work well. Wrapping the pipes helps with heat issues and makes a litle more power.
Yea stock cams work well. But bigger cams will give you more power. Most of these stroker guys are running bigger cams.
Fuel consumption? I dont know. Never really checked it before or after. Its not important to me at all. It is what it is. I didnt notice having to fill the tank any sooner.
