16 tooth front sprocket?
Anyone have experience with this? Does the chain run too much on the swingarm?

16t sporcket
I have a 17t and it rubs on the swing arm so a 16t would rub quite noticeably.
Why not go up in the back instead?

Hey Smurfkilla, after talking to you on the phone the other day I am a little hesitant to install my 17 tooth. I figured I could put it on and then get the chain back up off the swingarm with a bigger rear sprocket. That may be too much gearing change though. So now I'm pretty much figuring just a rear sprocket change is in order. May have a ZX-11 counter sprocket for sale in the future.

Silver,
Do you have an extended swingarm or are you running stock?

stock arm here, I'm also not a racer, just wondering what the 16 "feels" like. I know the 17 was a HUGE improvement over the 18, curious what a 16 is like...

I've used a 16 toother for strip testing only. With my bike seriously lowered, it won't rub the chain guide. I think it probably would at normal height. 16-48, man, you're talking tractor pull gearing there. The 16 toother only added about 1/8 of wheelbase. Not near as much as I expected.

Sprocket
Yeah, I have since ordered a 48t for the back and will put the front one back to stock when the rear arrives.
I could leave the 17/48 combo on there but I am sure that would be a bit to much.
Opinions?
Cheers

the 17/48 is a lot, but the roll ons are amazing (over 100 of course, any slower you can't keep it on the ground). I'd say try the 17/48, you can always switch it back
