head porting and polishing

Guys i would like to ask you. if you ever had a head done by a very popular company, that you sent there along with a check for $1560.00 and it came back with bits of aluminum from the surfacing, carbon deposits on the valves and in the chambers. and in the ports where the the guides were cut with little fragments left hanging against the valve shaft. somebody please tell me this is normal. i am about to go off. i havent had this kind of work done b4. i am not sure of performance yet i feel that the performance will b there based on the port work. i am not happy with the effort that was not taken to send out work like that and charge top dollar. i wouldnt think no mechanic would assemble an engine looking like that regardles of wheather it hinders performance or not. help-me

Who did this Sir? Shoot me a PM if you don't want to post public. I'm about to have some work done and I'm not about to have the same people do mine if I can help it. That's uncalled for and of the many heads I've had done in the past I've never had one returned to me like that.

Thanks for the Heads up on this clown. I would be more than just pissed. I've had one or two heads royally screwed up in days past. I've even had them swapped and or stolen by guys whom were in the business and raced themselves. Yea the Ol take your nice head and give you their POS back in it's place. In the KZ days you damn near had to break a fin off and keep the other half so you could be sure it was your head you were getting back. Hell they still found ways to fuck a man even then. I solved the problem. I quit racing

I'm pissed and it not even my head.
This is the stuff that makes it hard for our sport to grow.
