Anyone using Harlan shiftlight on a 12
I am trying to hook it up to my 12, and so far no luck. The tach feed from the meter don't trigger the light. Used 1,2,4, & 8 cylinder modes with no luck. I know it works with Busas. Has anyone had any luck on a 12 yet?

shift light works good on my SV track bike, dunno why it ain't workin' on your 12... are ya makin' sure you're holding the "set" button down until the dip switch settings take?

I have two on my 12 set 300 rpm apart. You are right, it will not work with the light blue tach feed. You have to get to the stick coil on number one cylinder and find the black wire. Run a lead (solder the connection) from that black wire to the green wire on the light. Then set number one button to "stick coil" so the light flashes one flash after you let go on the number one button. Then just set the number two button at your rpm and you are good to go. Great little light--very bright and precise.

Thanks Earl, that did the trick. Emailed Harlan & he said the same thing, working fine now. Too bad it won't work with the tach wire, would of been a lot easier.
