I went to the dealer today and was promised my bike would be done next tuesday.I hope so as I really miss my bike.

I gotta feel for ya. Must be like waiting for that UPS truck when you were a kid. I remember being without a ride for about 10 days when I wrecked mine and it was torture. Now that I think about it, these lousy northern winters are torture, too.

The guy said they broke 4 sets of rings because the bottom of the cylinders weren't chamfered.I have 2 boring bars and do boring/sleeving/welding for my side job. I could have fixed their problem in less than 5 minutes.I hope that bitch holds up.

I put ZX9Rs top-end together BY-MY-SELF (with NO "fancy tools") and...had NO TROUBLE with the rings!!!
AND!!!...his 1270 cylinders REALLY DO have "very little chamfer"!!!
I can NOT beleive they (a dealer???) had that kind of trouble...
...un-freakin real...me being the one...sitting here with no money  
Sorry if I put...even MORE doubt in YOU about THEM but...DAMN!!!
I KNOW they don't have YOU fooled...like they THINK??? they do!!!
YOU-AND-I could have had your bike running WEEKS ago...
The PARTS wouldn't have been FREE though...LOL...
I think you KNOW my labor would have been "reasonable" for YOU also 
I hope this deal turns out OK for you Harry...and I also KNOW that THEY will be SORRY they ever met you if it doesn't!!!

My manager let me off for a few days and I was supposed to call in at 8am this morning which I did.He wasn't there but told the guys to tell me to get my ass back to work if I called.He's supposed to call me back and hopefully he will let me stay and get my bike (I am in N. Carolina and my job is in Fla.)I'll be a mad MF if he doesn't.

My bike is still not done.They said tomorrow or friday.If they don't get it done by friday I'm going to contact kawasaki and see if they can build a fire under their ass.I am in fla and my bike is in N. Carolina so I will have to drive 1000 miles round trip to pick it up, which I will gladly do on my 1 day I will have off this week.
