Dynojet ignition module?

Does anyone have info on the new Dynojet ignition module beyond what appears in the Dynojet webpages?

Trying to plan ahead a little, and wondering if they failed to give it the feature of switching between differing maps on the fly as Yoshimura accomplished several years ago, or whether they did include that. I don't see anything in their literature suggesting they did. Anyone know?

Also, any info on whether the Rev Extend feature will apply to the 12R? It is not one of the listed models on Dynojet's page.

Lastly, if an ECU mod is done, what are the thoughts on whether the Dynojet would continue to keep up past what had been the stock redline? I would guess that probably is not an issue, it would, but someone might know for a fact?

Thanks!

Tren I seen something on it over at ZX10R.net. Some guy says he has one and it works so he says. But he said something like you have to decide how much over rev you want and Dyno Jet gives you a code and once you enter that code it's locked forever at that setting. Seems a little shitty to me. I HATE Dyno Jet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll use the factory Race ECM in my 10R. No more little junky boxes hanging everywhere.

The extended rev ecm does work indeed! Whe I had my bike on the dyno the bike continued to acclerate and shut the dyno down at 200mph. The dyno had a dyno brake on it that came in at 200. Yes the bike will continue to acclerate and hold peak power.. With its short 55.4mm stroke it can rev very high.. On the other hand the zx14 with its large 61mm stroke can only rev to 11,00rpm's..

and you know this from your extensive testing of the ZX14 motor so far????

I suppose supra is referring to the nominal redline on the tach, as opposed to what it may be able to endure in practice, which also would vary with valvetrain, piston weight, etc. But anyhow the nominal value is 11,000 on that motor, reduced approximately proportionally to the stroke increase, which is typical when designing to same standards.

However, back to speaking of the 12, with lighter pistons and rods it can spin the full extent of the ECU mod while putting no greater load on the bearings than stock, just from calculation on weights. So, with better valve springs, it's indeed reasonable to spin a built motor with lighter pistons a bit faster with potentially equal durability.

Aftermarket pistons and rods for the 14 could be equally light as for the 12 (well, a little more for the rods for being longer, but that's not much) and so if for example 12,250 is a nice number for the 12, then, well, 11,125 would be a comparable number, in terms of bearing load, for the 14. (12,250 times 55.4 divided by 61 gives that.) Hmm I guess that explains why it's nominally only 11,000 rpm stock, as the pistons and rods may not be as light as aftermarket ones for the Twelve.

Of course it may not actually be 11,000 rpm stock, it might be 10,500 or what have you, with a falsely-high tach.

to trenace your exactly correct.. I just looked at the posted pictures of the 14 and the beginning red line comes in at 11,00rpm..

I like the idea of this, tell me more, how much more rpms can be had, and how safe on a stock motor, I could really pull some mph out of this stock motor and brock pipe........., 126 in the 1/8 this weekend........., time slip is posted at
