Nice going NOX...I too was wondering about your setup to get 124 in the 1/8th, but you still didnt say what fuel you were using...DETAILS, DETAILS, we need DETAILS...
HDL...To get 124mph in the 1/8 the bike has to be putting out 175-180 HP @ the wheel, but you have to be able to get that power to the ground on the strip, takes a long time...
My 12 puts out about 175hp to the wheel, fastest I have been was:
60'.......1.512
330......3.964
1/8.......5.981 @ 122.69
1000....7.680
1/4........9.216 @ 152.37
That was with a 2002 ZX12, Akrapovic stainless pipe, 60" wheelbase, MR9 fuel, 17-47 gearing, Muzzy block off-kleen air system, BilletBasket, slammed, SuperCorsa sc2 rear tire, foot shifting, no PC, OEM air filter, OEM timing, motor never opened up...Temp @ the track was 55 degrees...

other than the rear tire, looked just like this

60'.....1.5672
330'...4.0292

Short time is way slow, because I have a real soft clutch set up.

That was a 52, it was uncontrolable like that, but all I had at the time. I had run it for top of 5th with a slick on my bar bike, ran 56 for top of 6th.
with street tire, the 52 put me out of gear, hit the limiter in 6th before the 1/4
I am running a 48 now.
Good eyes, still think my mph is bull(*&Y ?

kewl with me.
I am telling you guys, I was at the Nopi event, and there were a few busas, one with a tiny rider, running U4, I know, he was pitted next to me, with power commander, MSP pipe, lowered, all that, stock motor he claimed, and I walked away from him when we would run heads up in time trials. His bike should have pulled or stayed with me as small as he was with his mods......
This pipe is great, but I gotta get the PC. I will let you know the numbers the map makes when I do.

Nox, what clutch set up are you using???...Im using the OEM set up but removed the 2 sets of metal rings, small fibers and replaced it with all same size OEM fibers...
Why get a PC if your running 123-124 in the 1/8???

Muzzy lock up (my settings, not tellin)........still have the metal rings in......., I have thought of taking em out, but I need a fiber to replace em with. I race with a guy who may have one. Did it make it smoother? The rings are alot like the clutch mod brock uses in the busas and 1000s aint it?
And I want the PC so I can run maybe 125 or 126........duh!

Ohhhhhh, a lock up...That explains why your going 124 in the 1/8...You didnt list that in your mods!!!...I removed the rings and small fibers because the small fibers break...
Dont be surprised if after you get a PC your mph drops...Unless you Dyno tune the 12 yourself !!!

The lockup does not change mph, I tested it with my Pro ET set up. I have tons of logs , and all it did was let me tune better. I was curious about that too. I looked at my setup logs, and weathers, it really did nothing except short time better, mph did not increase, at least with a Pro Et set up..........
I have only seen MPH go up with one of Brock's maps. I will be running his map in it till I build a bigger motor. I will post when i get it, may be a while though.

and btw, all you guys tearing up clutch parts will not do that with a lock up, even launching off the two step at anywhere from 5500 to 7500, never broke anything,.......1.31 short times, 1.35 to 1.38 in the heat.
Even Pro Stock bike only runs one set of fibers a year. I have worked on the Matco Tools bike, and they dont eat em up like you would think. You will also learn a ton about your power delivery with the lock up........
and it is way easier on the drivetrain.

Lock ups are trial and error........my tune up still has room, as you can see by the slow 330 time, my bike should be turning 5.90s in the 1/8 ........
What works in my bike may not work in yours, rider weight, hp, etc.........
The lock up has been on the bike, the pipe addition is when the bigger mph came.

You guys have to understand, what works for me, WILL NOT work in your bike.
Power delivery is diferent, my bike is very light for a 12, like 480 race ready, very minor things change it, so what I have will not work...........
It honest to god is trial and error............took me forever to get it down, but when you start going the right way with it, ets will drop fast due to the set up.........., a lock up should sound like a great clutch hand leaving the line.................

If you are doing good without a lockup, there is no need. I already had it in the bike with my pro et set up, so I just adjusted, but I was already in the ball park. Would be alot of work for your set ups.........
