One second this wasn't a Kawasaki site (while wishing to disagree with me for describing it as a Kawasaki site, though I will agree that "Kawasaki-oriented site" would be more precise but would have served the exact same purpose in the post in question), and now you say it's the ZX-12R that started this site and forum.
Fish, on the one hand, if this is not a Kawasaki oriented site, despite 111899 posts in the ZX12R Zone and 35787 posts in the ZX10R Zone vs 3198 posts in the Sportbike Zone, then there's no issue at all.
Well, on the other hand, of course it is a Kawasaki oriented site.
However, the discontinuance of the 12R will have little effect on the site I would think. First, most will continue to own their 12's for some time. The ZX-10R remains in production. Further, many members may well purchase the 14 or other Kawasaki sportbikes.
The flexible adapt... while it's true that no ZX-11-based site became the center or a center for ZX-12R riders, that doesn't mean that Bikeland can't readily adapt to whatever new models are produced... and I actually expect you really do have full confidence in that anyway.
I think you may be surprised: the ZX-14 is likely to turn out much more ZX-12R-like than many are saying and you seem to be thinking. Body panels are body panels. Sure, they create an initial impression, but they're not what it's all about. I see no reason to assume the handling is watered down, or the bike is heavier (or would remain heavier after changing exhaust), etc.

I think we'll start a BMW section.
And fer the last time, Bikeland IS NOT a "Kawasaki Site"... it is a website that contains several sections FOCUSING on different models, brands and types of riding. 3 of those models (now that we have the 14) are Kawasakis... we happen to like kawasakis, and I particularly like my 10R.
Like I have said, and will say again, show enough interest in something and we will create a section for it...
People wanted Dragracing, so there is a dragbike section.. people wanted touring.. so that section was created (slow mind you.. but growing)... We bought some dualsports so I created a dualsport section...
If I picked up an R1 you'd bet there's be an R1 Zone and same goes for any other bike ...
all people need to do is express an interest.. doesnt matter what brand..

Still, I am sure you know as well as I do that there are many more Kawasaki riders here than those who don't ride Kawasakis at all. To claim it's not even Kawasaki-oriented might reflect your intent (a failed-to-date intent if so) but not the actuality of the present content of the site.

I agree with fish on this...he has stated many times that we can add a section for just about any make/model of motorcycle but there has to be enough interest in it. We use to have a 6R section but lack of interest killed it.
If enough members on the forum are constantly posting up in the Sportbike section about one particular model of moto, then the demand will warrant another section added.
But ya'll know me...I bleed green. Ask questions about the rest of those "other" guys who dont ride green.

I think a Greves or Bultaco section would be a real winner...
How about one for the Hodaka Swamp Rat !
By the way, you CAN'T get rid of the 12r section because it's a virtual library of 12r information, necessary for generations to come.

mass suicide..........
I think a mass suicide by all disgruntled 12R owners who's world fell apart the day the 1400 came out is in order. It's the logical thing to do,....... really.
Your doing the right thing by leaving the forum as is fish, there are plenty of guys that have no intention of getting rid of their trusty 12Rs. I'm even thinking of maybe adding an '05 to the garage in the near future.

What an astounding denial of reality... the vast majority of the bike-related posts are on Kawasaki bikes, yet the site owner says it's "not true" that content of the site shows it Kawasaki-oriented.
Fish, you've shown me something, not just this but in a couple of others... you can get into a disagreement mode where when if someone says the sky is blue, you'll say it's green. Some people are like this... it doesn't help them, it just sets them back. I am sure everyone else here has noted that the content of the site is much more Kawasaki-oriented than anything else. But since I said it, and you're in a "disagree with Trenace" mode tonight , now you deny it. Interesting. Silly, but interesting.
I've always wondered if those that operate this way (reflexive denial: say the opposite of whatever the other person said just because they want to disagree with them or hate agreeing with them) actually believe that others buy into their "sky is green" "You say the content of this site is Kawasaki-oriented? not true" absurdity. An interesting question -- can the people that act this way, and many do, actually believe their absurd denials are bought by other people? If so, why? Hubris? I genuinely don't know. In any case, a simple glance at the index page reveals the correctness of my statement.
But yeah Fish, whatever, the content is not Kawasaki-oriented (the great majority of the bike content.) It's not, you said it's not. There is definitely no point in my saying further on it, each can see the truth for themselves on that.

No, Fish, it's because you chose to specifically deny it, in what I can only take to be a "deny what he says, whatever it is" mood.
And how ironic to claim or suggest that I'm following you around, when actually it's your jumping in and going after what I'm saying, whether it's my disagreeing with Entropy on reported findings of top speed of stock bikes, or whether someone else was posting trollish stuff. My only commentary on what your saying, is following from your critiques of me, not from when you're posting other things.
Please try to get over your obsession with me, it's unbecoming

For a guy that posts that others "need a course in semantics" (btw, who talks like that?) you do have a way of totally misreading quite a lot.
No I did not say such a thing.
However, your second sentence demonstrated yet again a trend I've seen in your posts, the clique mentality...
Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that it's useful to know where that exists as that makes people quite predictable, provided one knows who that person deems in his clique. Then he can anticipate behavior such as some of your responses to my posts, rather than find them as odd, even bizarre, as they otherwise appear.
