SOLD THE HOUSE!!!

Well, it only took 18 days to sell. We have a signed purchase agreement as of Saturday. It, of course is contingent on the inspection that will take place Thursday at 9am but we don't forsee any problems. Hardest thing I've ever done, my wife and I feel sick to our stomach selling the home we have worked hard on for 4 years and had our children in. But in the end it's what we needed to do going into a nice big ranch. We got a little less than we asked for, but it was actually more than we realistically though we would get. We got $7,500 more than any other of the same type of home sold in our neighborhood, ever. So that's good.

Anyway, we'll close end of Sept and then close on the new house 5 days after that. We get 30 days to stay in our current home so I can get to work on stuff before we move in to the new. Move in date is looking like October 26th.

I feel Sad for you because part of your SOUL is in that house. I remember seeing the "CARE" in which you did everything which is something you cannot put a price on. The marked is finally slowing down so if you had to make this move, the time could not have been better! Sorry about your "HOME".

Vincent, you are 100% correct my friend. It feels like someone is stealing my dog or something. When Michelle and I finally agreed to the counteroffer's counteroffer I swear I felt like I was going to throw up. All I know is the people better take care of what I've done to that home. Then again considering I'm only moving 2 blocks away and all "their" new neighbors are good friends of mine, I"ll be around to keep an eye on them. lol

Otis, That is why I did not congradulate you because I also feel more like we are losing a good friend that did nothing wrong and my only hope is that your new place (Not a home yet) will live up to what your Old place meant to you and the rest of us (Are you taking that little Gazebo you made for your wife?

Truth be told, the studies show that moving is as hard on you as losing a Job or a love one. The exact same stress. I also do not know if being close is good or bad. Specially when they repaint it some sick color and land scape it with the taste of a Moron. I really hope thay treat it as it should be. The people in my Mother's house LOVE it and are doing nothing but improving it.

Not taking the Arbor/Swing. It's in the ground with concrete so it's staying. It's alright though cause I'll be building a new deck on the new house and already have plans in my head for an outdoor kitchen on the deck and a swing or some sort will be incorporated into it. It'll be great when it's done.

18 days...good on you. No long drawn out hassles. In the new house and no worries about selling the old. Congrats. Now let the "mods" begin. Just like a new bike.

Otis - if she comes over it will complicate the process of the immigration visa we have already applied for so we are going to wait a little while and see how see how the processing goes. I will be going over to live with her in england in dec if the processing doesn't go quick enough.I will just take a few months off or maybe just retire.I will just work in my shop in fla. I don't think i will ever be able to stop working.
