another murder
Just got home from work, feeling a little venting is in order. On the way home tonight I came upon another accident scene. A guy on a cruiser was tooling along, minding his own buisness, when a big rig made a left turn and smacked him head-on right in the middle of the bikers lane.Just a crumpled piece of metal attached to the truck bumper, and a tarp thrown over the bloodied body. Fucking senseless. Why can't people OPEN THEIR FUCKING EYES???? just another sad reminder that we're still invisible out there.

That's sad dude...
That's terrible dude. I had the same fucked up view of a motorcycle accident last summer. Body sprawed out and shit. Fucked my head up for awhile. I went to like ten car lenghts when riding my rocket for a good two weeks. Senseless.

Another *killed on a motorcycle* statistic for the insurance industry....
You know what everybody that passed that scene said? "Another guy killed on one of those dangerous motorcycles." Or "You're not getting one of those, and that's final!"
"Professional" drivers are the worst. Truck drivers and cab drivers.
Watch how bad people in a "safe" car like Volvo drive. They are all scared of everything.
The Cell phone thing is getting worse, too.
More and more, people are getting so isolated in their car and trucks. They drive like the world is all about them.
The cruiser guy had a life, probably a wife, kids and friends. All gone.
It is a fucking shame.
Ride safe people.

From AMA's website
A 36-year-old Michigan man who killed a motorcyclist and injured the motorcyclist's passenger in a traffic crash has been sentenced to 90 days in jail.
On September 30, 2000, Norman Walton turned his pickup truck into the path of a motorcycle ridden by Stephan Shemanski, 43, in the Grand Rapids area. Shemanski was killed and his passenger, daughter Melissa Shemanski, 19, was injured.
Walton was found guilty of causing a fatality while driving with a suspended license and faced up to 15 years in prison. But when he was sentenced on January 3 of this year, he was given just 90 days in jail and two years probation.
In handing down that sentence, the judge in the case basically absolved car drivers of the responsibility of looking for motorcyclists.
"The driving in this case was the kind almost anyone would have done," Judge H. David Soet said, according to the Grand Rapids Press. "Anyone who has practiced law in this city for over 30 years, as I have, knows that people don't see motorcycles. They somehow overlook them."

wow, that is fucked up redelk. but im hardly surprised.
i dont know if its just me noticing it more (prolly), or drivers are getting worse and worse. i never paid too much attention to the cell phone thing, but i cant believe the number of people i have seen on the phone in the last couple weeks. i just started as a car parts delivery driver a coupel weeks ago, & i swear like 1 in every 4 drivers in on the phone. wtf, is this a town of teenagers or something?!? what r people on the phone so much for, regardless of whether they r in their cars or not. i tell u, i have had so many close calls in 2 weeks, its not funny. and just yesterday some jerk changed lanes right into me. fortunately i was pessimistically expecting him/her to do exactly that, & as such was able to swerve out of the way. absolutely no sign of "sorry" came from the driver. im gettin sick n tired of it. i get tons ot tickets for drivin fast, yet iv never had an accident, not a single insurance claim. & everywhere around me people r drivin like complete idiots & they got clean records. fuckin hell. im gettin pissed. where's my bottle of gran marnier?

Watch out for stupid fucks on cell phones
There's a green 12 in my local bike shop that'a all crumpled up as a stupid bitch on a cell phone hit this guy from the rear and folded the bike up breaking the rear subframe and crushing the rear wheel and of course lots of other damage. She remarked to the cop that she was in a hurry and he was going too slow.He only recieved bruises and scrapes mostly from when she finally slammed on the brakes after hitting the bike ,the guy was on her hood and sent him tumbling down the road.

I had some dink drift over on me while I was on I-4 yesterday. I was so pissed I stopped in the middle of rush hour traffic and started to punch the guys window out. He got really nervous, but never hung up the phone. I told him the *next* guy might not be so understanding and to STAY THE FUCK OFF THE PHONE AT RUSH HOUR. Of course I probably looked like a complete idiot standing there yelling at him...lol

Turbo, watch out for that kind of stuff, i know a guy that was arrested for assault for doing the exact same thing
you have to wait till they run you over before you can complain, otherwise, since you are off of the bike and they are still in their car, you are the guilty one

You ever notice....
Have you ever noticed that when somebody cuts you off, or when somebody is almost in a wreck, that the part of the car that would be involved is already damaged? Seriously, now that I mention it, you will be amazed at how often it is true.
People don't care. They repeat the same mistakes over and over.

Here in Chicago it hit 60 degrees last Sunday, so there were some bikes out. I had to stop at my job where the boss goes into his shit "oh I wish you would stop riding that thing, I just don't want you to get hurt." I'm starting to think he wants to screw me. After I get home I find out that a rider was hit and killed about 2 miles from me. He was going east and a car going west made a left turn infront of him. Naturally they said he was going to fast. Which is pointless because the dumb bitch shouldn't have turned infront of him
