I am going to texas to work for 60-90 days so i will not be able to make it. I wish I could go. I need a vacation. I am taking a month off after texas. Maybe go to australia with my wife or on a cruise?

The GAP doesn't scare me in the least Gunner.
I've got more switchbacks and twisty shit an hour away than I could ever describe except over the Chatterbox as we are going from Point A to Point Z.
The RV's, The Cops, The Tourist shit, oil in the corners. That all I will pass on, and is why I have not gone there.
Just my perception from what I have read.

Not much to be said back about that Bob......... It's all true from time to time. The good ol days are just gone. Early and late in the season are still good if you're local. I'm not much for crowds myself.

All kiddin aside..........All those problems you hear about the Gap are mostly Bull Shit stories that get out of hand. Some are somewhat true, but most are way, way blown out. Take a pole and ask how many of the guys on the board have actually had problems up there. I'll just about bet the results will surprise you. And Jet I've been to Cali there are some nice roads out there as well, but certainly none better than the Gap. It's a special place and if it were any longer than 11 miles you just couldn't take anymore. Unless you have been there it's impossible to describe.
