Man, I am a moron.
Happened to go to the Dainese site for a completely unrelated reason, hadn't been there in months.
And guess what?
I find out that the under-armor (so to speak) that I just bought, and posted that the price was good on, is actually intended for mountain bike use!!
Yeah, I knew it was a mountain bike site that was selling it, but I had seen it on the Dainese site before when searching for armor and did not spot that it wasn't motorcycle gear! I did not even know Dainese made mountain bike gear!
Moron!
(BTW, their site does say that they sell motorcycle gear for mountain bike use as well as other sports, so actually my original assumption, that that was what was going on with the items I was looking it, wasn't totally crazy though it was wrong in that instance.)
Anyhow, obviously that needs to be corrected, in the event anyone else was interested in the previously posted stuff, which does look good if not knowing that aspect and is at a good price. I would almost consider still getting it since being for mountain bikers it may just ventilate air better than the motorcycle armor and not be as hot, which will be valuable to me in Florida -- but I am concerned that perhaps those plastic-appearing panels might not be safe at motorcycle speeds, since now I know they were not designed for that. Really gotta cancel that, and instead get this for use under jackets:
