Nope. Actually I did see some aluminum lightweight air caps (at least that's what they looked like but they called them "dust caps") being sold by Tasty Nuts but I passed them by. What willpower!
Well, really what it was is, there was no weight to be saved there
And thanks, Connman. Not anything too much really, there are many race bikes on here that are more trick. Just building a decent 1290 with cams and headwork, lightening the bike fairly close to as much as possible -- probably winding up not terribly far off the weight of a stock (sigh) 10 -- and improving the suspension, pretty much.
