I sort of looked at the different Boards as Novice, Junior and Senior. Not the people that run them but the people that visit them. Easy's Board seemed to be where the New to Bikes or new to serious technical stuff people started out and the where the Seniors went to help out. This board seems to be there the Seniors go when "They" need Help. Me, I go to all of them for Help because I never know who is looking and may be able to help, but I start here first!

Because I'm so allergic to the stuff I've done a lot of research on it. Poison ivy / oak / sumac doesn't "spread". Different areas of your skin may become affected hours or days apart, but once the oils from the plant have been washed off, it's gone. You can only get the rash on the parts of skin that come in direct contact with the oils itself, not from scratching. So if you've got it on your hand, anywhere you touch will be affected. The blisters that are associated with the crap are just that, blisters. They are not poison filled bombs waiting to pop and infect the rest of your body. The oils from poison ivy can remain active for up to a year. So you'll want to wash any clothes, gloves, shoes, bedsheets, etc. that may have come in direct contact with the oils. Also, you may be deathly allergic to the stuff one year, and yet be able to roll around in it the next. I didn't start getting it until I was about 25.
Whenever I get it now, I head straight to the Dr., where I'm promptly given a strong dose of Prednisone. It seems to help, but I also use bleach. It helps to dry out the skin, and the infection.

Only in America (Well Canada also ) can something like this go on. This is neat stuff and I have met Steve from a post he did about Gustafsson who makes windshields and he has been my friend ever since. He is a good guy who has helped me many times!
