How doya????
Clean the stock pipe on an 03 12R?? Mine has melted shoe and large swirl scratches in it.. Is there some cleaning product that works and/or can you use real fine steel wool?? Thanks in advance for any help and or advice!!!!!

I used that fine steel wood - the like with You clean Your owen. It came out good. It may not give the mirrorlike finish it had but now one will no and it looks good.

i usually run it for a while get the pipes warm (pretty hot )and you dont have to scrub so hard thus dont scratch them hardly

last time this was asked, a couple peopel swore by some kinda metal polish. i did a quick search but couldnt find the old thread tho.

Thanks so far.. I will go for the steel wool (wood?) and ifn I mess it up I can always get a full system and a power commander to compensate.. cheers!! Mr Bill

Yeah wool not wood... And after that maybe some polish if You want. You have to give the same treatment to the whole muffler to look the same.

Mother's polish works really well, i scratched the ever-living crap out of a yoshi pipe, and sanded it smooth, and then hit it with that polish.
like a mirror again.

Or you could just say "Fuck it, it's a muffler pipe..." and go and ride.
