Throttle Stuck 3/4 Open!
Naturally and thankfully it was after making a pass at the dragstrip. Inspected the inside of the TBs and found nothing. No loose blades or anything foreign. Throttle would go wide open but would only return to bout 3/4 throttle. Throttle movement felt like normal except with new stop at 3/4. Cables are fine. Could get slack in both cables at linkage on TBs. Got home and blew compressed air between TBs at linkage. Throttle goes closed now. Saw or heard no foreign objects being dislodged. Is the TPS removeable? Don't want to tear that sucker up investigating. Any other ideas? Crossed the finish line at 157.9 on that pass. Best ever!

BE CAREFUL WITH TBs & TPS!!!
A few words of warning about the throttle bodies and the TPS... The ONLY way you can get ANY part for the TBs or the TPS is to ORDER THE WHOLE DAMN THING! Ask Y2K. The TPS and ANY of the parts on and including the throttle bodies themselves, CAN NOT, I repeat, CAN NOT be bought individually.
On the parts CD, under "THROTTLE", there is just THREE part numbers. 14073-1746 DUCT, FUNNEL (QTY. 4, the rubber boots in the air box), 92151-1236 BOLT 6x22 (QTY 8, to hold the boots) and last, but not least, 16163-1104 THROTTLE-ASSY (QTY 1). This includes the TPS, ALL FOUR throttle bodies, the "rack that holds them together and various other items that are attached to them.
Last time I checked, I think the "list price" for that lil' ole part number was somewhere around $1100~1200!

Whew! Twas only a piece of gravel lodged in the linkage between the TBs. At least it happened on the long straightaway at the strip. I feel much better now.

He was at a good track that has lots of run off. Met him there this weekend. His bike looks good. Hate I got there just after he made his fast pass. I think he scared the heck out of the Busa guys... 9:25!!
