Part Needed.........
Do any of you guys know where a wrecked 12 is that I can get the rubber piece that covers the fuse box off of ????
I guess on one of my test rides with all the plastic off the bike, mine flew off. I never really paid a lot of attention to how that thing was attached. I guess it just lays up on top. With the tank cover over the top of it I guess there really wasn't a need to secure it to anything. I'm gonna see if I can find the part number, and see what Kaw gets for one. That is if they have any in stock.

Part #
Kaws part # is 14091-1280, Junction Box Cover.
I'm gonna go to buykawasaki.com and see if it's available, and if so how much $$$$$$ it'll be.

It's cheap enough...
I just checked Ron Ayers website and did a Part # search. It cost $9.48, cheaper than I thought.

I found it...........
MadMike,
Thanks for the nice gesture, but I actually went out and retraced my riding routes and found the thing. I cannot believe I found it, but I did. I was just driving slow in my truck looking at the shoulder of the road and found it . It hasn't been ran over or anything. Talk about LUCK!!!!!! I was about 1/2 mile from my house, but I found it on my way back after driving about 15 miles at a whopping 25 mph. Still, I'm glad I found it and that it was still in excellent shape.
I hope you didn't go through a lot of trouble looking for one in your garage. Thanks again........

Lucky MoFo!!!
I know how you feel. On the way to Deal's Gap last summer my radiator expansion tank top came off and thankfully one of the guys behind me saw it pop off and roll off the road. We went back and found the lil fucker!!!

I had to do that when it was my wallet! Put it on the roof of my truck (I know, I know! Late for dinner, 3 year old, it happens) Anyway 15 mile drive at 15 mph and couldn't find it. Turn into my driveway and a guy pulls in right behind and says "I got it!" He was on a test ride with his new Vulcan and saw it. Glad it was a biker cause they are the best!

I'm glad......
I'm glad you guys had good luck as well. I figured it was a lost cause, but I'm glad I was wrong. Even went past it about 50' and thought, hell that might have been it. It was hard to see in the grass and leaves. I backed up, got out and the closer I got to it I was like DAMN I think that IS it. Then when I picked it up and saw that it hadn't been run or anything I was fucking smiling and saying DAMN.
I don't even know how long it has been off the bike, I just noticed it last night when I took my K&Ns out to inspect them. It's possible that it could have been lying there for a week to 10 days.
