start up
hi i have a 2000 zx12 just rebuilt the motor using the muzzy 1375 now having problems starting the motor after it has gotten hot .this i'm told is normal due to the added compression. how can i compensate for this ? is it a matter of breaking in the motor? or do i have to set up two batteries . where do i start? if it is two batteries i need where do i fit this battery ? i appreciate all your help and time

You can also take a pile out of your timing at 500 and 1000 rpm on your power commander. I set mine to -5 degrees for my 1270's.....

can't you get one of those "gel-cell" high performance batteries? Optima or something like that?

i took timing out didn't really help my 1427 hi compression motor start, i did mojo gel cell FBG that didn't cure; 24V did it in spades.
no simple place for the lil 2nd batt. i have my big batt in the swing arm, 10" ext, and the lil one in the batt case.
I have also seen the 2nd batt located very near the starter behind the overflow reservoir. you need to fab a holder but its a good place to put it.
