rear shock adjustment

Any way of adjusting spring tension on the rear shock without removal?My spanner wrench doesn't get in there while still on the bike.tips?

Like said or get the right tool! But really if You're not adjusting it very often the hammer and some metal stick really does the job. Screwdriver isin't the best because it usually is too sharp - try something more flat.

I agree. The screwdriver did deform the metal some.

Put a mark on the colar with a marker, use a long screwdriver and hammer if your spanner doesnt work...

Get someone to help you by holding the bike on the kick stand having the rear wheel off the ground and it will be much much easier to move the adjusting colar...Turn the colar 3 turns clockwise to make the spring stiffer for your weight...

I adjusted mine with a homemade spanner I made from a piece of steel strap. I was able to bend it a bit,though,to get a good bite..

A foot long punch worked just fine for me....5 years ago & haven't touched it since...

Needs a Penske/Ohlins bad....any1 wanna donate to charity?

I just turned it 3 times with a punch.Mashes the shit out of the tabs but I got it down to 1 1/2"sag

The ideal sag for the 12 is 25-30mm...
