Slug, any thoughts on why the vodoo trick works and how it works? Interesting stuff. While I am certainly more prudent in maintaining my bike, unlike some other redneck queer's (not suprising really considering he uses $1.98 lemon furniture polish on his plastics), I am going to change my brake fluid this spring and will try your trick.

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
More prudent my ass! The only place I've lagged behind is the brake fluid, other than that my bike has been very well maintained. All one has to do is look at your bike beside mine and it is obvious that Lil' Red has been better taken care of, by a long stretch even. In fact don't even park your piece of shit motown gutter scooter within 50 paces of Lil' Red during the gap event or I'll shoot that MF full of holes. WHILE YOU'RE STILL SITTING ON IT !!!!
Oh and btw.... the lemon scented furniture polish is $1 biatch, get your facts straight ya dope smoker. Where's dick_antlers when I need him??? He can snap your ass into shape quick-like!

we never really figured out why it works, the best guess is that it forces the microscopic air bubbles out the seals and joints (same way the moisture eventually works its way in to the system)
when i did my YZF the lever went all the way to the bar. tied it overnight, and it will go no closer than 1.5 inches from the bar.

Maybe.... maybe not. All I know is that you did not have a "expert" replace your clutch plates like Otis has. Not all quality work can be highlighted with a lemon scent. Though it can be done with a moon out the back door of a van.
