TB Sync
I know how to do the actual procedure, but what's the easiest way to get to the vaccum ports (i.e. what needs to be removed?) And from what I can see when looking at the TBs from the side of the bike, each one has two vaccum ports. Does it matter which port you hook the sync gauge up to? Thanks for the help.

Hello Eric! You finally went to the "High Tech Board Looking at the 2 tubes and noticing that one is hooket up to the Kleen Air and others are going to parts that operate with the ECU, I use those The Big ones!
I also had to buy one of those expensive 90 degree tools to adjust the Air Screws and throttle bodies. I use a very large set of gauges so I can see the smallest number change. The lower the Idle, the better the adjustment. No more than 950 rpms. You need to read the service Manual, but since the cable pulls from #4 throttle body, the next one to adjust would be #3 and then #2 since they all ride off of #4's adjustment!

ERIC! The Service Manual is always something I negotiate at the time I buy a new bike! In this case the bike was so new, that they did not have them otherwise I take one home with me and read it and check the bike out "BEFORE" I take my first ride

You read the SERVICE manual before you take your first ride?? Are you one of these who also reads phone books and dictionaries for fun? (just busting your balls, Vince ) Sure you're not talking about the owner's manual, because I DO read the owner's manual.
East Bay Dave....I got the Marchesini 10 spoke forged magnesiums. They're normally a $2600 set of wheels, but TAW had them for $1800, but only in the color gold. Luckily, I had a green bike, so the gold matched great. (even though I still would have preferred black )

email me I know where you can download a manual for the 2000 model.
The other day I saw my mechanic sync a TB, with a extrange method of light he stares at them in the sun and starts to adjust them....
It works,
how?????
I kind of know but dont know how to explain it......
there are some things here in RD!!!!!
Since Japan have a lot of 400cc bikes, here whe have some and of course the parts are not so easy, he makes the bearings out of 600cc bikes, and they are perfect, of course this is a 20 year mechanic and have excelent hands.

Actually Eric, it is worse than that! I do not even ride the Bike from a Dealer. Have you seen who puts the bikes together? (The lowest employee on the list!).
I put the bike in my van and bring it home where I check everything and reroute the wires and check the alignment (ALWAYS Off by at least 1/4 inch front to rear) and once I am satisfied that everything is correct, THEN I go for a very long ride and start the Break In process. When I was younger, I could usually get the 1,000 miles in between the time I bought the bike and the next day at work! Now it takes the weekend!
Something else to consider, this is a 180 MPH Motorcycle with over 160 HP. You can get into a lot of trouble of anything goes wrong because some dummy did not tighten or check something. Yes I do mean the SERVICE Manual because I need to know what is correct and what is not!
Marcos, Back in the day, we also looked at the air gap at the bottom of the plates and when they all looked the same, we were very close. The problem with that method is the Bodies are all opening the same, but each cylinder does not DRAW the same so for the engine's requirement, they are not perfect as with using Vaccum!
