mapping in cold weather
When I called to set up an appointment to map for the new pump and nitrous, the tuner said I might want to wait until the weather was warmer. He said my map would be a little off when it hot outside if I did it now.I thought the air temp and press sensors adjusted for that.Any thoughts?

If you map now, come the warmer weather it will run rich, slowing you down a hair...
Maybe you want to do a cold weather and a hot & humid weather map???
If you have a laptop you can save the cold weather map...Then drop it off in the summer for another map, save it and there you go!!!

Hey I like that idea, but where would the cut off point be for temperature?I know there are some cold nights in the spring and fall.Is there a limit to the air temp sensor as to how much it can correct for?

This place is different from the first tuner I brought it to and comes highly recommended from several sources. My understanding is that he races himself.I'll have to ask him more when I see him.He has nitrous right there so I know he's familar with it and I suppose it would make a difference if he didn't warm the bottle up first.I have no knowledge yet if thats what he was referring to.I only wanted to get it done in case old Murphy decided to play.Plus I know how bike shops can get swamped if brought in too late in the spring and I'ld like to miss the chaos.
