Sidi boots are the best boots I have ever worn , and I have worn my share of boots. I have Sidi boots for road racing and motocross and they both hold up very well and are like slippers on you feet. As far as Spidi gloves I have never tried them but I have a pair of Held gloves that are great , expensive but great.. I know you would be happy with the Sidi boots, I think they are the best boots you can get.

Hmmm...I have the Sidi race vetebras and they are really comfortable and seem to offer quite reasonable protection.

However, a buddy of mine has the Alpinestars GP Tech uber boots with the full inside bootie. Nice because your whole ankle is protected all the way around.

Had a bike cream him right in the side in a turn, hitting his foot. Crushed the ankle between the two bikes.

He only had minor ankle injury. But even with the Sidi's I'm sure it would have been worse since they only have the external bracket on the outside.

Never know, but that's what I'm thinking. Although I have gone down with the Sidi's twice I haven't had any ankle trouble. But my next race boots will have full ankle wrap-around protection. Also thinking of if the bike falls down on top of your boot which I've seen on the track as well.

Those boots are nice for street/roadracing...

For DragRacing this is all we have and they're not that good...

I wish someone else would make a pair of DragRace boots similar but with a better sole...

Alpinestars has worked well for me for the last few years - GP Plus gloves and recently got SMX+ boots.

I had a Sidi boot get tangled up in my bike Pahrump. Got ground up pretty good but my foot was uninjured. An Alpinestars would have cost me a toe or two. They don't grind well.

XL, I have the Vertigo Corsa's and IMHO, they are almost like wearing tennis shoes they are so comfortable, and I believe money well spent. Gloves I have the same ones that Sete wears and man are they comfortable, I paid 150 Euro for them here, and I figured you can't beat that with a stick, let me know and I can get some for you and send them to you.

I've been a big fan of Alpinestars over the years, but those Sidi boots sure look nice. I'll have to try a set!
